Attraction Information

CBeebies Land is a whimsical wonderland within Alton Towers Resort, the ultimate theme park destination in Staffordshire, England. It’s an enchanting area specially crafted for young children and families, inspired by the beloved CBeebies children’s TV channel. With a magical selection of rides and attractions such as the Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure, In the Night Garden Magical Boat Ride, and the Go Jetters Vroomster Zoom Ride, CBeebies Land provides a fun-filled experience for all the little adventurers out there.

The Land offers an immersive and interactive experience for children, complete with live shows, themed play areas, and plenty of opportunities to explore their favorite TV shows in real life. It’s the perfect destination for families with young children who are fans of CBeebies shows, offering a truly magical and memorable day out.

Accessibility Information

This venue has a dedicated car park

This car park has 36 Disabled Spaces ( blue badge must be present)

The distance from the furthest disabled space to Cbeebies land is roughly 500M

There is level access from the car park to the venue

Disabled Parking is situated next to the main Admissions Plaza, alongside our Express Car Park, and is accessed via the Coach Park gate. Parking is charged per car. Please take advice from the car park attendant who will direct you to the correct space.

  • Level access from the car park to the entrance.
  • Due to the nature of the landscape there are some steep paths, steps and water edges that make some areas inaccessible, however, there are some paths which do offer garden views.
  • The park provides signs around the grounds where an accessible route is available.
  • A Ride Access Pass is implemented at this venue for those not able to queue due to medical conditions ( See Ride Access Pass Tab for more information)

Alton Towers has 10 Accessible Toilets located in the following areas:

  • The main resort entrance
  • The top of Towers Street
  • The Medical Centre
  • The Towers Burger Kitchen
  • The Explorer’s Pizza and Pasta Buffet
  • The Forbidden Valley
  • The Rollercoaster Restaurant
  • CBeebies Land.

These toilets do not require a Radar Key.

All of the above locations feature the following:

  • Wide entry doorway that opens outwards
  • Lowered wash basin
  • Transfer space to the side of the toilet
  • Fixed handrails to the side of the toilet and Wash Basin
  • A handrail that lowers to the side of the toilet
  • Disposal facilities
  • Emergency pull cord

Alton Towers has 3 Changing Place Locations in the following areas:

  • Outside of X-Sector (Adventure Land),
  • The Towers area,
  • Between Gloomy Wood and Forbidden Valley.

These facilities require a Radar Key, If you do not have a Radar Key they can be hired for a £20 refundable deposit and are subject to availability from Guest Services. 

All of the above locations feature the following:

  • A wall mounted height adjustable changing bed
  • A powered Overhead Hoist
  • An Accessible toilet with transfer space to the side
  • Dropdown rails to the side of the toilet
  • Lowered wash basin
  • Disposal facilities
  • Wide entry doorway that opens outwards
  • Movable Privacy Screen

A limited number of wheelchairs are available for hire from Guest Services on a first come, first served basis a £20 refundable deposit is required.

A limited number of electric mobility scooters are also available – a £50 refundable deposit is required and a
£25 hire charge.

Wheelchairs are subject to availability so we would suggest
that guests who need a wheelchair to travel around the
Theme Park take their own for ease and certainty.

Please note, that due to the nature of our site, there are some steep inclines that can make powered buggies unstable.

Please take extra care when using them and speak to a
team member in Guest Services for further information.

Assistance/guide dogs are welcome in the Theme Park but they will not be able to accompany guests onto any of the rides.

They will be allowed as far as the loading point where they
must be left with a member of the party – they must
never be left unattended anywhere in the Theme Park.

SOMETHING SPECIAL

In CBeebies Land, you will find Something Special Sensory Garden.

This attraction is supported by Makaton signage designed to help children with language development.

QUIET ROOM

The room is located in the Guest Services Building at the top of Towers Street 

The redesigned chill-out space aims to provide an autism-friendly, quiet room for guests who may have autism or similar conditions and need a peaceful, calming place before embarking

This room features the following:

  • A Table and chairs
  • A sofa
  • Bubble Tube
  • Purple Walls
  • Child Fiddle Toys 
  • Ear Defenders

If this room is occupied speak to a member of staff as the Alton Towers Hotel also have a Quiet room.

Ear Defender Hire

If you require Ear Defenders while visiting the park these can be hired from the Resort Box Office for a £20 refundable deposit.

The children’s ear defenders are suitable for children from 6 months up to 16 years of age

 

Alton Towers offer a Ride Access Pass for guests who may find it difficult or cannot stand for long periods of time
either due to a physical disability or a learning/emotional impairment.

Having now partnered with Nimbus Disability you must apply for a ride access pass 7 days or more in advance to your visit.

The Ride Access Pass application remains free, with the option to upgrade to a full Access Card for £15. Existing Ride Access Pass holders can continue to use their card as normal.

Alton Towers offers free entry for carers accompanying disabled guests on a 1:1 basis 

To be eligible for Free carer entry one of the following evidence must be provided:

  • DLA/PIP Paperwork dated within the last 12 months of your visit
  • Attendance Allowance or Carer’s Allowance letter of award.
  • Incapacity Benefit books, or a letter notifying the recipient that the benefit has been awarded Incapacity Benefit or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).
  • A valid Blue Badge.
  • In the case of visual impairment, a registration card known as the BD8 or a Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI).
  • A local authority registration document that is local to the attraction where it is being submitted.
  • A recognized Assistance Dog ID Card.
  • Nimbus Access Card with the +1 Symbol

Please be aware they are unable to accept letters or care home identification cards as proof of entitlement for a Carers ticket. .

A letter can be provided to confirm that 2:1 care is required.
