But that’s not all, the zoo also boasts a range of other reptiles, otters, tamarins, and birds for those seeking something a little less daunting. For an extra special experience, consider one of the many keeper experiences available, including the Junior Croc Keeper program. Accessibility Information

This attraction has its own car park.

There is a disabled parking bay near the zoo’s main entrance.

The zoo is accessible for people with disabilities and wheelchair users.

The paths are generally concrete and there is level or ramped access to most buildings.

We should point out that there are two steps into the alligator building, which they are looking to resolve and make accessible for wheelchair users.

The Crocodile House is accessible for wheelchairs, and there is an outside wheelchair ramp to access the deck walk that allows full viewing of the Nile crocodiles, Tomistoma and Saltwater crocodiles.

The inside slopes to this deck are quite steep for wheelchairs, so we recommend using the outside ramp.

This attraction has accessible toilets that feature the following:

  • Wash basin with lever style taps
  • Transfer space to side of the toilet
  • Handrails to the side of the toilet and wash basin
  • Disposal facilities.

This attraction offers concessionary pricing to disabled visitors and carers.

To be eligible for this discount you must present evidence in one of the following forms on arrival:

  • DLA paperwork dated within 12 months
  • PIP paperwork dated within 12 months
  • Drs letter stating your disability dated within 12 months

Assistance dogs are permitted within this attraction however they are not allowed within the crocodile house.
