Duff House
Attraction Information
Duff House, designed by a renowned Scottish architect, was built in just five years, but its interior took over a century to complete. Originally a family home, it later served as a hotel, a sanitarium, and even a military base and POW camp during World War II. Today, the house boasts an impressive collection of art in both permanent and temporary exhibitions, featuring famous and captivating works. Visitors can enjoy free quizzes to spot unique and hidden objects throughout the house, including various animal decorations made from different materials. Family events, a play area, and an assault course in the grounds add to the attraction. Surrounding the estate are coastlines, parklands, and a river, providing a scenic backdrop for leisurely walks and wildlife sightings, alongside a gothic mausoleum and an ice house.
