Thrilling Rides and Attractions From the exciting Kangaroo Jump to the swashbuckling Skull Rock, Lightwater Valley is packed with exciting rides and attractions for all ages. The Lady Bird coaster is perfect for your mini thrill-seekers, while the Dragon Drop and Eagle’s Claw will have you soaring high in the sky.

Discover the Outdoors Explore the great outdoors in Discovery Woods, where you’ll find a wide range of outdoor activities, lakeside woodland nature trails, and opportunities to spot creepy crawlies, majestic birds, and more. Go pond dipping in Swan Lake or fish for creatures big and small.

Family Fun There’s plenty of great family fun at Lightwater Valley, from the Lightwater Express train and tractor rides to the indoor and outdoor adventure parks. Kids will love the Elephant Flight and Flying Cutlass, while the adults can enjoy a lazy day aboard the Eagle’s Creek Farm tractor.

Accessibility Information

This attraction has its own car park

The disabled car park is situated directly adjacent to the park entrance and Admissions booths.

Parking is clearly marked and available to blue badge holders only.

The pathways around the attraction are concrete-laid 

Certain rides and attractions in our park can be physically demanding and vigorous. They, therefore, reserve the right to refuse admission to certain rides should they feel there is a danger to a particular individual or individuals for whatever reason.

The restaurant within this attraction are wheelchair accessible

There are 6 Disabled toilets within this attraction

There is 1 Changing place toilet within this attraction

This attraction offers a Queue assist scheme

 

  • Bungalow Toilets – in front of disabled car park & adjacent to the entrance booths
  • Valley Gifts – Behind Valley Gifts shop
  • Soft Play – Next to our indoor Soft Play area
  • Young Fun – In Young Fun area behind the Show Barn
  • Tower Toilets– Opposite Eats N Treats
  • Splash Falls – At the bottom of Splash Falls

All of the above locations feature the following:

  • Wash basin with lever style tap
  • Transfer space to the side of the toilet
  • Handrails to the side of the toilet and the wash basin
  • Disposal facilities

Changing Places Room – Located next to the Outdoor Play Area.

This room features the following:

  • A hoist
  • changing bench
  • Centrally located toilet.

Users may obtain a key from our Visitor Experience Centre.

visitor with a recognized disability that prevents them from queuing for long periods of time, or causes them to become agitated or emotionally distressed, may request a preferential ride access wristband.

Please note: Preferential wristbands are unavailable on our quieter days, due to minimal queueing times.

Please check with the Admissions team on arrival, or give the Visitor Experience Team a call on the morning of your visit.

If you do face difficulties in the park when the wristbands are not available then please pop into the Visitor Experience Centre for assistance.

Having a registered disability does not mean you automatically receive a wristband.

The following documentation must be presented at our Visitor Experience Centre on arrival:

  • DLA or PIP letter stating you are entitled to Higher Rate Mobility or Medium/Higher rate care.
  • Letter from as GP or Consultant which clearly states that you are unable to queue and the reason why.
  • A valid, in date, Blue Badge.
  • An Access Card.

Disabled guests are permitted one free carer ticket.

One of the following evidence must be provided on arrival:

  • Proof of disability includes a DLA or PIP letter,
  • Access Card,
  • Blue Badge or a doctor’s letter.
  • One disabled and carer ticket admits entry for two guests in total (the guest with a disability plus the carer).
