Gullivers Kingdom

Gulliver’s Kingdom is a popular family theme park located in Matlock Bath, designed specifically for children aged 2 to 13. Set on a scenic hillside in Derbyshire, the park offers a wide variety of rides, attractions, and play areas, making it an ideal destination for younger families.

The park features a mix of gentle rides and more adventurous attractions, including rollercoasters, water rides, themed play zones, and interactive experiences. If these spaces are full, additional disabled parking is available at Temple Walk Car Park, approximately a 5–10 minute walk away. There is a gradual incline of around 70ft between the main car park and the entrance.

A Ride Access Pass is available for guests who are unable to queue due to a disability or medical condition. This allows the guest and up to three accompanying helpers to access rides via the exit or alternative entrance, helping to reduce queue times. The pass must be requested on arrival from guest relations or park management and cannot be pre-booked.

To qualify for a Ride Access Pass, guests must provide proof of eligibility, typically in the form of a diagnosis letter from a GP or medical professional confirming difficulty with queueing. Even with the pass, guests may still need to wait at least one ride cycle, particularly during busy periods, as staff aim to balance access fairly between all visitors.

Wheelchair hire is available on a first come, first served basis, with a £20 refundable deposit required. Due to limited availability, guests who rely on a wheelchair are encouraged to bring their own where possible.

Gulliver’s Kingdom also offers concessionary ticket pricing for guests who can provide valid documentation such as a Blue Badge, DLA or PIP letter (with photo ID), NHS ID, or other recognised cards. However, concession tickets do not automatically qualify guests for a Ride Access Pass.

Carers play an important role in supporting guests with additional needs, including helping to assess ride suitability and assisting with mobility around the park. As with most theme parks, some rides have physical requirements, and access may be restricted for safety reasons.
