Step back in time and experience the simple pleasures of Victorian life at Watermouth Family Theme Park and Castle. Marvel at the animated scenes, take a ride on the model railway, and watch in wonder as mechanical musical instruments like the self-playing piano and banjo come to life right before your eyes. The curiosities of the past are waiting to be explored!

Once you’ve emerged from the castle’s dungeon labyrinth, venture into the beautiful natural valley that plays host to the theme park. Take in the breathtaking views of the stunning North Devon Coast as you marvel at the Mighty Mortier Water Show, explore Gnomeland, and pan for gold alongside the hardworking Gnome residents.

For those looking for thrills, the park offers a wide array of rides and attractions. Take to the skies on the Junior Aviator, brave the rapids of The Big River Ride, or plunge down the mighty Tube Slide. You can also try your hand at crazy golf, crazy snooker, or test your sense of direction in the maze.

Throughout your visit, you’ll be entertained by the likes of Captain Andy and his talented dog band, as well as Goosey Gander and the Geezers. And for those who crave a little friendly competition, challenge your family to a round of Soft Ball Shooting Cannons or Water Wars – just be prepared to get a little wet!

Watermouth Family Theme Park and Castle has something for everyone, making it the perfect destination for a day of family fun and adventure.

This attraction has its own car park

This car park has dedicated disabled parking close to the entrance

There is level access between the disabled parking and the entrance.

There is a route for wheelchair users.

Not all of the site is accessible due to the natural topology.

A portion of the Castle and gardens is accessible to wheelchair users – all the pathways are tarmac, but some are steep in places and it is recommended that you are accompanied by someone willing and able to help in these areas.

There are 2 accessible toilets on at this attraction.

The toilets can be found near the main entrance and at the bottom of the attraction.

These facilities feature the following:

  • Handrails to the side of the toilet and wash basin
  • Wash basin with lever-style tap
  • Transfer space to the side of the toilet
  • Disposal facilities.

Assistance dogs are permitted within this attraction

Dogs can stay hydrated at the various water bowl stations located around the site. 

Dog waste disposal bags are also available on site should you need them, and they ask that any deposits are cleared away by owners immediately and disposed of in the bins provided.

The following areas are unsuitable for dogs, and so dogs will not permitted be permitted to enter:

  • The Dungeons
  • Any rides or play areas
  • Food and drink areas
  • Grassed seating areas

Dogs and their owners must behave responsibly and be respectful of other guests and Castle property at all times

*Please note dogs and their owners may be asked to leave if a breach of the code should occur. 

There is a discounted concession price for disabled guests and carers to be eligible for the discounted concession you must provide evidence in one of the following forms:

  • DLA/PIP Paperwork ( dated within 12 months of visit )
  • Dr’s letter stating disability ( dated within 12 months of visit )

Due to the nature of the rides and topography of the attraction wheelchair users can enter for free ( a ticket must still be booked for wheelchair users)
