Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park is a family attraction set within 28 acres of countryside in North Devon, combining exotic wildlife with prehistoric dinosaur experiences. The park is home to more than 60 species of animals including wolves, sea lions, meerkats, penguins and African lions. Visitors can follow winding pathways through the park to discover a variety of habitats, enjoy animal encounters and take part in interactive experiences such as feeding certain animals or holding reptiles like snakes and tarantulas.

One of the main highlights is the Dinosaur Trail, where visitors can walk among life sized animatronic dinosaurs while learning about the prehistoric creatures that once roamed the Earth. The park also features a dinosaur museum displaying fossils and educational exhibits. In addition to the wildlife and dinosaur attractions, there are several family friendly activities including a train ride, a playground, a maze and picnic areas, as well as on site food options such as the Jungle Hut Café.

Due to the park’s location within natural countryside terrain, some areas include steep slopes and uneven pathways which may present challenges for visitors with limited mobility. Blue Badge holders can park close to the entrance in the dedicated disabled parking area. From this area there is a flat pathway leading to several accessible facilities including the Information Desk, Jungle Hut Café, the Dinosaurus Playzone and Gift Shop, and the Sea Lion enclosure.

Some areas of the park can be accessed with caution depending on mobility needs. These include the areas featuring meerkats, bat eared foxes, lions, wolves and several other animals. However, there are also sections of the park that are not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters due to steep paths, steps or uneven terrain. These include the Dinosaur Museum, Pharaoh’s Tomb, Critter Caverns, the Japanese Garden and some of the lower park pathways.

Accessible toilets are available in three locations across the park, including the Main Square, the Dinosaurus Playzone and near the Grey Wolf enclosure. These facilities include handrails, lowered wash basins with lever taps, transfer space beside the toilet and emergency alarm systems.

Visitors who are registered disabled may receive concession pricing, with carers also eligible for a concession rate when accompanying them. Evidence such as a Blue Badge, PIP or DLA documentation may be required when purchasing tickets. Discounts are applied when paying at the park, although visitors are still required to pre book their visit online.

Some animal experiences may be accessible depending on individual needs, including the Sea Lion Meet and Greet, Swim with the Sea Lion experience and the Lion Feed experience. As accessibility can vary depending on the location of the enclosures, visitors are advised to contact the park in advance to discuss requirements before booking.

With its combination of wildlife encounters, dinosaur attractions and countryside surroundings, Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park offers a unique day out for families visiting North Devon.
