Diggerland Kent

Diggerland Kent is a unique, hands-on family attraction where children and adults can operate real construction machinery. Perfect for young adventurers, the park offers a wide variety of interactive rides and experiences, from driving diggers and dumpers to taking part in fun challenges like digger-powered bowling.

With over 20 rides and activities available, visitors can enjoy highlights such as Spindizzy, Groundshuttle, and Skyshuttle, alongside smaller digger experiences and an indoor soft play area for younger children. The park combines excitement with creativity, making it an ideal destination for families looking for something a little different.

Diggerland Kent is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive experience for visitors with disabilities and additional needs. The attraction has its own car park, including dedicated disabled parking spaces, with level access to the main entrance.

Inside the park, pathways are a mix of concrete, tarmac, and gravel. While most areas are accessible, sections with gravel may require assistance for manual wheelchair users. The park is generally mobility friendly, although the use of real construction machinery means that some rides may not be suitable or easily accessible for all visitors.

Many of the machines are operated using hand controls, which are power-assisted and designed to be easy to use without requiring significant strength. However, staff are not able to assist with lifting or transferring visitors onto rides, so carers must be prepared to provide support where needed.

Accessible toilet facilities are located in the main building and include transfer space, handrails, lever taps, and standard accessible features.

Diggerland offers free carer entry on a 1:1 basis for visitors who require assistance. Where additional support is needed, multiple carers may also be admitted free of charge, provided valid documentation is shown. Accepted forms of evidence include PIP or DLA letters, Blue Badge, Access Card, EHCP documentation, and medical letters.

Assistance dogs are permitted within the park but must be registered, kept on a lead at all times, and supervised. Proof of assistance dog status may be required on arrival.

While not all rides are suitable for every guest due to safety requirements and equipment design, Diggerland Kent still offers a fun, engaging, and mobility friendly day out, with plenty of opportunities for families to enjoy a truly interactive construction-themed experience.
