Gulliver’s Valley is a modern family-friendly theme park located in South Yorkshire, designed specifically for children aged 2 to 13. With a mix of rides, themed lands, indoor play areas, and interactive attractions, it offers a fun and engaging day out tailored to younger families.

The park features a variety of themed zones, including the Lost World of the Living Dinosaurs, Western World, and Amazonia. Visitors can enjoy everything from gentle rides and play areas to more adventurous attractions, as well as a water play zone and large indoor play facilities, making it suitable in all weather conditions.

Gulliver’s Valley is designed to be mobility friendly, with level access throughout the site, allowing easier movement between rides, play areas, restaurants, and facilities.

The attraction has its own car park, offering 18 designated disabled spaces and over 200 general spaces. The furthest accessible parking bays are approximately 70 metres from the entrance, and the surface is tarmac with level access leading into the park.

There are three accessible toilets located in Lilliput Lane, Western World, and Lost World. These facilities include grab rails, transfer space, lever taps, emergency alarms, and accessible layouts. A dedicated Changing Places facility is available in Lilliput Lane, featuring a height-adjustable changing bed alongside standard accessible features.

Wheelchair hire is available on a first come, first served basis, with a £20 refundable deposit required. As availability is limited, visitors who rely on mobility aids are encouraged to bring their own where possible.

A useful handheld accessibility guide is available on request from Guest Relations. This provides detailed information on ride access and restrictions, helping guests and carers plan their day and choose suitable attractions.

Gulliver’s Valley offers a Ride Access Pass for guests who are unable to queue due to a disability or medical condition. This allows the guest and up to three accompanying helpers to access rides via the exit route, helping to reduce queue times.

To obtain a Ride Access Pass, guests must request it on arrival from Guest Relations or park management and provide supporting documentation, typically a diagnosis letter from a GP or medical professional confirming difficulty with queueing.

In addition to the formal Ride Access Pass, the park also operates a practical queue support system. Guests who find it difficult to stand in queues can wait in nearby seating or play areas while another member of their group queues on their behalf, joining them at the ride via the exit when it is their turn.

As with all theme parks, individual rides have specific safety requirements, and guests should review restrictions in advance. Carers play an important role in supporting guests, including assisting with access and helping ensure safety during rides and potential evacuations.

With its flat layout, strong accessibility features, and focus on younger children, Gulliver’s Valley is a great option for families looking for a mobility friendly and accessible theme park experience in South Yorkshire.
