This attraction has its own car park

The car park has Disabled spaces near the pedestrian exit the entrance is roughly 100 metres from the disabled parking.

The car park is tarmac laid and has a slight incline between the disabled spaces and the entrance.

The park is set on top of 400ft high cliffs overlooking the English Channel. The paths around the park are undulating with some paths as steep as 1:5 gradient.

Visitors in manual wheelchairs who wish to visit all areas of the park should be accompanied by strong helpers.

Those using electric mobility scooters must ensure they are confident in using the equipment and do not exceed its capabilities.

Particular attention should be pair to the paths leading to and from Area 5, Giant Bug Walk and Cowboy Town where gradients are likely to be at their steepest.

Evening events at Blackgang Chine may contain a variety of lighting effects, including ‘moving head lights’, various flashing lights, projections, and some limited use of lasers and strobe lighting.

Some rides are physically demanding and as such staff reserve the right to refuse entry to those who may struggle while on the ride.

This attraction has 3 Accessible Toilets located in the following areas:

  • Next to the Hedge Maze
  • Beside The Vortex
  • Within La Cantina

All of the above locations feature the following:

  • Fixed handrails to the side of the wash basin and toilet
  • Disposal Facilities
  • Emergency Alarm
  • Lowered wash basin with a lever-style tap.
  • Transfer space to the side of the toilet
  • An Essential Companion ticket allows an additional person to enter the park with a paying guest to assist with their visit free of charge.
  • If eligible, two additional people can accompany the paying guest with the appropriate Access Card +2 symbol.

In order to obtain an essential companion ticket you must apply through their partners at Nimbus, who complete all assessments. Each individual application is reviewed privately and independently.

The application is free however there is an option to upgrade to a physical card which can be used as evidence at all Nimbus Access Partner
