Accessibility Information

This attraction has its own car park

This car park has a dedicated disabled parking section, these are not marked bays.

The disabled car park is roughly 70 metres from the main entrance

The car park is Hardstanding + Gravel

There is level access from the car park to the main entrance

The majority of the park is accessible via tarmac or concrete pathways. There are some gradients across the Zoo and Farm areas which may present a challenge to wheelchairs or persons with limited mobility

This attraction has 4 Disabled toilets & 1 Changing Place

Most rides and attractions at our facility are designed to be accessible for all visitors.

The Big Wheel ride features a disabled carriage that can accommodate wheelchairs, and the Land Train ride also has wheelchair-friendly options.

The animal experiences are generally wheelchair accessible, except for the sloth experience, as sloths live at heights.

This attraction has 4 accessible toilet located in the following areas:

  • Cwtch Coffee,
  • The Jolly Barn,
  • The Wallaby Ranch outdoor play area
  • Inside the vintage fairground.

There is a changing place toilet located in the Vintage Fairground

All of the above locations feature the following:

  • Wash basin with lever style taps
  • Handrails to the side of the wash basin and the toilets
  • Disposal facilities
  • transfer space to the side of the toilets

The Changing place toilet also includes the following:

  • Adjustable Bed 
  • Hoist

Disabled visitors pay the standard admission prices and this automatically includes an accompanying carer space free of charge. The staff are trained to never assume a disability so proof of disability is required to get your free carer place. This can be any of the following forms of documentation;

  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Blue Badge (photo ID required)
  • Signed letter from GP (photo ID required)
  • Access Card

Documentation should be dated within the last 24 months.

When purchasing tickets online just select an adult, child or senior standard admission ticket for the disabled visitor and then add an accompanying free carer ticket. Take proof of disability as outlined above with you on the day.

  • 01 April – 01 October, 10am until 5pm, every day

  • 02 October – 27 October, 10am until 4pm, every day

  • 28 October – 05 November, 10am until 5pm, every day

  • 06 November – 23 December, 10am until 4pm, Saturdays and Sundays only (closed on Sunday 24 December)

  • 24 December – 05 January 2024, closed (re-open on 06-07 January 2024 for weekends only)
