Gulliver’s World is a family-focused theme park in Warrington, designed especially for children aged 2 to 13. With over 30 rides and attractions spread across themed areas, it offers a fun and engaging day out tailored to younger visitors.
Families can explore a variety of themed zones including Alice’s Wonderland, the Lost World, and pirate adventures, with attractions ranging from gentle rides like teacups and mini coasters to water rides, dinosaur experiences, and interactive play areas. There are also indoor and outdoor activities, making it suitable for a full day of family entertainment.
Gulliver’s World aims to provide a mobility friendly experience, with level access from the car park to the entrance and concrete pathways throughout the park, supporting easier movement for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility.
The attraction has its own car park, including 6 designated disabled spaces located approximately 40 metres from the main entrance. Access from the car park to the entrance is level.
There are four accessible toilets located across the park in Western Adventure Play, Dino Encounters, Safari Swings, and Castle Stage. These facilities include grab rails, transfer space, lever taps, and disposal facilities, supporting a range of accessibility needs.
Gulliver’s World offers concessionary ticket pricing for guests who can provide valid documentation such as a MAX Card or a DLA/PIP letter (with photo ID). This allows two people to access tickets at a reduced rate, although discounts may vary for special events.
A Ride Access Pass is available for guests who are unable to queue due to a disability or medical condition. This allows the guest and up to three accompanying helpers to access rides via the exit route, helping to reduce queue times.
To obtain a Ride Access Pass, guests must request it on arrival from Guest Relations or park management and provide a diagnosis letter from a GP or medical professional confirming that they are unable to queue. The pass cannot be pre-booked, and a DLA letter alone is not sufficient to qualify.
It is important to note that the Ride Access Pass does not provide immediate or priority access, and guests may still need to wait, particularly during busy periods. Some rides are also excluded from the scheme, and access is always subject to safety requirements.
Concession tickets and Ride Access Pass eligibility are separate, meaning guests may qualify for one or both depending on their circumstances.
Carers are encouraged to accompany guests with additional needs, particularly on rides, as they may be required to assist with access and support during emergency situations. Staff are not able to provide lifting or transfer assistance.
With its family-friendly attractions, accessible layout, and structured queue assistance system, Gulliver’s World is a solid option for families looking for a mobility friendly theme park experience in the North West, particularly for younger children.
