CBeebies Land at Alton Towers Resort is a vibrant, family-focused theme park area designed especially for younger children. Packed with colourful rides, interactive attractions, and live shows, it brings favourite CBeebies characters to life in an engaging and imaginative setting.
Little ones can meet beloved characters like Bluey and Bingo in the live Big Fun Showtime experience, explore the Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure, and take flight on the Go Jetters Vroomster Zoom Ride. With live shows featuring favourites like Hey Duggee, Bing, Teletubbies, and In The Night Garden, the area is designed to keep younger visitors entertained throughout the day.
Accessibility across CBeebies Land and the wider resort is well considered, with step-free access to many areas and clear signage highlighting the most accessible routes. While some parts of the park include slopes and uneven terrain due to the natural landscape, there are alternative pathways available to help guests navigate more comfortably.
A key feature of accessibility at Alton Towers is the Ride Access Pass system. This allows guests who are unable to queue for long periods due to a disability or medical condition to access rides via an alternative system. Applications must now be made in advance through Nimbus Disability, with approval required at least seven days before visiting.
The park offers a wide range of accessible facilities, including 10 accessible toilets located throughout the resort, all with step-free access, grab rails, emergency cords, and lowered basins. In addition, there are three fully equipped Changing Places facilities, featuring hoists, adjustable changing beds, and accessible toilets. These require a RADAR key, which can be hired on-site if needed.
For guests with mobility needs, a limited number of wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available to hire from Guest Services (subject to availability and deposit). Due to the size and terrain of the park, visitors are encouraged to bring their own mobility aids where possible.
CBeebies Land also caters well for visitors with sensory needs. The Something Special Sensory Garden provides a calming, interactive space using Makaton-supported features, while a dedicated quiet room offers a peaceful environment with soft seating, sensory lighting, and calming equipment. Ear defenders are also available to hire, helping to reduce noise levels for children who may find busy environments overwhelming.
Accessible parking is available close to the main entrance, with level access into the park. From the furthest disabled parking bays, the distance to CBeebies Land is approximately 500 metres.
Assistance dogs are welcome within the park but are not permitted on rides. They must remain with a member of the group at all times.
With its focus on younger families, strong accessibility support, and a wide range of sensory-friendly features, CBeebies Land at Alton Towers offers a fun, inclusive, and mobility friendly day out for children and their families.
