Kenwood House

Accessibility is well supported throughout the house and grounds to provide a mobility friendly experience. The on site car park includes five designated disabled parking spaces located approximately 300 metres from the house, and a dedicated drop off point is available at the front entrance with staff assistance. A mobility shuttle service operates on selected days to help visitors travel between the car park and the house. Inside, ramps and a lift provide access between floors, allowing visitors to explore the main exhibition rooms and galleries. A braille map is available in the entrance hall, and audio guides, induction loops and accessible guided tours support visitors with visual or hearing impairments. Pathways around the immediate gardens and main areas are accessible, although some hoggin and gravel paths further into the parkland may include dips or gradients.

An accessible toilet is located in the Service Wing next to the Brew House Café, equipped with handrails, lever taps and transfer space. The café offers accessible seating and a comfortable place to rest, while the gift shop is also accessible with induction loop support. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the house, cafés and shops, and water bowls are provided to ensure their comfort during visits.
