Sealife Adventure in Southend-on-Sea is a family friendly aquarium featuring more than 40 displays of marine and tropical species from around the world. Visitors can explore themed zones including Ray Bay, Turtle Bay and the sub tropical habitats, where rescued turtles, rays, seahorses and amphibians can be seen. Educational talks and interactive exhibits help visitors learn more about marine conservation, making it a popular attraction on the Essex seafront.
The aquarium is generally mobility friendly, with level access at the main entrance and wheelchair accessible routes throughout most displays. Some areas include slopes or changes in flooring texture, but alternative step free access is available via the main entrance where needed. An accessible toilet is located in the main foyer and includes grab rails, a lowered wash basin and emergency pull cord. Assistance dogs are permitted, provided they are registered and meet the attraction’s access requirements.
While there is no dedicated onsite parking, Fairheads Green Car Park is located approximately 50 metres away and offers accessible parking bays. A Changing Places facility is also located nearby at the end of this car park, providing additional accessibility support. Sealife Adventure offers reduced price carer entry for eligible visitors with valid proof of disability.
