SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth is an indoor aquarium located on the seafront, home to more than 1,500 sea creatures including sharks, rays, tropical fish, penguins and a resident green sea turtle. Visitors can walk through the Tropical Ocean Tunnel, explore themed habitats and take part in interactive experiences such as the rockpool touch area and daily talks and feeding sessions, providing an educational and engaging day out for families.
The aquarium is designed to be mobility friendly, with step free access throughout most areas and accessible routes allowing wheelchair users and visitors with mobility aids to explore the main exhibits. While a raised viewing platform in the penguin enclosure is accessed by stairs, the penguins can still be viewed from ground level. Accessible toilets and baby changing facilities are available onsite, along with a fully equipped Changing Places facility to support visitors with higher accessibility needs. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the attraction.
Although there is no dedicated onsite parking, several nearby car parks within approximately 300 metres provide accessible parking bays, including St Nicholas Car Park, which offers a larger number of accessible spaces. SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth also offers free carer entry for eligible visitors with valid proof of disability.
With step free access, Changing Places facilities and accessible exhibits, SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth provides a mobility friendly indoor attraction in Norfolk suitable for visitors with accessibility requirements.
