SEA LIFE Hunstanton in Norfolk is a marine attraction and rescue centre home to more than 2,000 sea creatures, including seals, penguins, sharks, turtles and otters. It is also Norfolk’s only public seal sanctuary, where rescued and orphaned seal pups are rehabilitated before being released back into the wild. Visitors can explore a variety of themed exhibits, including underwater viewing areas, tropical displays and interactive educational zones, while learning about marine conservation and animal rescue.
The attraction is mostly mobility friendly, with step free access throughout most of the aquarium and exhibits suitable for wheelchair users and mobility scooters. The underwater seal viewing window is not fully accessible, but seals can still be seen from ground level viewing areas. An accessible toilet is available onsite and includes grab rails, a lowered wash basin, disposal facilities and an emergency pull cord. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the aquarium.
While there is no dedicated onsite parking, a public Pay and Display car park is located approximately 150 metres away. However, the ground surface can be grass and mud, which may be more difficult to navigate during wet weather. SEA LIFE Hunstanton offers free carer entry for eligible visitors with proof of disability, although tickets must be booked online in advance.
With accessible routes through most exhibits, supportive carer policies and accessible facilities, SEA LIFE Hunstanton provides a mobility friendly day out in Norfolk, particularly for visitors interested in seal rescue and marine conservation.
