Skegness Aquarium is a pirate themed indoor attraction located on the Lincolnshire coast, offering visitors the chance to explore tropical and native marine life through immersive displays. Featuring species such as sharks, rays and seahorses, the aquarium also includes interactive experiences like the Wet Lab touch pool and daily educational talks. The themed layout, inspired by Treasure Island, adds a unique atmosphere, while the onsite café and family friendly facilities make it a popular all weather attraction.
The aquarium is mobility friendly, with step free access provided via a sloped entrance and accessible routes throughout most exhibits. A lift is available to reach the café level, although larger mobility scooters may find space limited. Seating areas are available within the attraction for visitors who may need to rest. An accessible toilet is available onsite and includes grab rails, a lowered wash basin and emergency pull cord, though manoeuvring space may be tighter for larger mobility equipment.
While there is no dedicated onsite parking, a nearby public car park approximately 100 metres away provides 20 accessible parking bays. The nearest Changing Places facility is located around 500 metres away. Staff are available to assist visitors where needed, including helping with signage in lower lit areas.
With step free access, lift access and accessible facilities, Skegness Aquarium provides a mobility friendly indoor day out suitable for visitors with accessibility requirements.
