The Wave Coventry

The waterpark itself features six large slides designed for thrill seekers, alongside a wave pool and a lazy river that offer a more relaxed experience. For younger visitors, The Reef provides a dedicated splash zone with interactive features, jets and smaller slides, creating a safe and engaging space. Accessibility is a key strength of The Wave, with step-free access and thoughtful design throughout the building. Automatic doors, ramps and lifts allow visitors to move easily between levels, including access to changing areas and poolside. Parking includes accessible spaces located close to the building, and additional parking is available nearby within a short walking distance. The route into the centre is straightforward, supporting a smooth arrival for visitors with reduced mobility.

Changing facilities are extensive and include accessible changing rooms, as well as dedicated Changing Places facilities equipped with hoists and specialist equipment. Accessible toilets are available throughout the building, including options with hoists, ensuring that essential facilities meet a wide range of needs.

Access into the water is well supported, with multiple pool hoists available across different areas including the main swimming pool, spa pool and lazy river. A pool pod is also available, offering an alternative method of entry for those who require additional support. Water-accessible areas are designed to be inclusive, allowing more visitors to enjoy the facilities safely.

The centre also offers a range of additional accessibility features, including hearing loops, low-level counters and large directional signage. Staff are trained in disability awareness and are available to provide assistance throughout the visit. Assistance dogs are accommodated, with facilities provided to support their needs.
