Experience a mesmerizing journey through the depths of the ocean at Oceanarium, where you’ll be greeted by over 150 different species of fish from around the world. From the vibrant wildlife of the Amazon to the stunning Shark Wreck Reef, and the enchanting creatures of Asia and Africa, each exhibit is a breathtaking world of its own. Admire playful otters at the Otter Oasis, and marvel at the adorable penguins frolicking on the Penguin Beach. Brave visitors can even enter the interactive Dive Cage for a unique perspective of the sharks.
Feeding times and talks throughout the day offer the chance to learn more about the incredible marine life on display, as well as ongoing conservation efforts. Enjoy a bite to eat and a drink at the Offshore Café or Bay View Terrace, and browse through unique souvenirs at The Cove gift shop. Best of all, this all-weather attraction is situated on the stunning Bournemouth seafront.

Unfortunately, due to the seafront location, they do not have their own car park.

Bath Road South –
This car park is roughly 300M from the aquarium and has 11 Disabled Spaces and 160 General Spaces
Bath Road North–
This car park is roughly 300M from the aquarium and has 2 Disabled Spaces and 108 General Spaces
Pavilion and Westover Gardens car park-
This car park is roughly 400M from the aquarium and has 8 Disabled Spaces and 212 General Spaces
The closest Blue Badge Parking is located in the following areas:
East Overcliff Drive
3 Hours stay no return within 1 hour there is a slope between the parking and the aquarium location. This is a parking bay and not dedicated spaces. This location is roughly 500M from the aquarium.
Westover Road
3 Hours stay no return within 1 hour there is a mostly level access between the parking and the aquarium location there is a slope leading down to the aquarium on bath road which can be seen here – Slope. This is a parking bay and not dedicated spaces. This location is roughly 500M from the aquarium.
The Oceanarium displays are situated on two floors with lift access, as well as stairs.
Wide passageways are throughout the displays for ease of access.
There are some steps within the Oceanarium but all of these are clearly marked and alternative routes are available.
Disabled toilet facilities, the Offshore Café, and the Cove gift shop are all located on the ground floor.
The aquarium has one Disabled toilet located on the ground floor it has the following features:
- Widened doorway Access
- Handrails to the side of the toilet and Wash Basin
- Lowered Wash Basin
Changing Place
The closest Changing place can be found at Marsham Court Hotel.
The changing place is roughly 600M from the venue around a 10 minute walk.

Dogs are not allowed into the Oceanarium unless they are ADUK registered assistance dogs or guide dogs. Relevant documentation will need to be emailed to them prior to your visit at info@oceanarium.co.uk or presented on arrival.
