This attraction has its own car park

This car park has a dedicated disabled car park

There is a slight gradient between the disabled parking and the main entrance.

the pathways around the park are mainly concrete laid.

Due to the nature of the zoo’s location there is a gradient throughout the site and some assistance may be required for those in a manual wheelchair.

The zoo has a limited number of manual wheelchairs to rent for free and these must be pre-booked before your visit please call 01924 235276 to reserve.

Ponderosa Zoo has a disabled toilet located in the coffee shop & the lakeside restaurant.

This toilet features the following:

  • Handrails to the side of the wash basin and toilet
  • Step-free access
  • Wash basin with twist-style tap
  • Disposal facilities.

Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the Zoo, except in the Lemur Lookout.

They ask that assistance dogs in training stay at home as some of the animals get startled easily.

On arrival, please make a member of the admissions team aware that there will be an assistance dog on-site so they can explain any restrictions to you and inform the animal team.

This attraction offers discounted concessions for disabled visitors and cares.

To be eligible for the disabled concession you must present evidence in one of the following forms:

  • DLA Paperwork dated within 12 months of your visit
  • PIP Paperwork dated within 12 months of your visit
  • Carers ID
  • Carers Allowance

When presenting paperwork related to your disability you may be asked to present a photo ID with the named disabled visitor alongside the paperwork.
