The Falconry Centre, located within Hagley Garden Centre in Worcestershire, offers a friendly and immersive experience for visitors looking to discover the fascinating world of birds of prey. Home to over 80 birds from around 30 different species, the centre provides an up-close look at eagles, hawks, falcons, and owls from across the UK and beyond.

Visitors can explore the aviaries at their own pace, with clear viewing opportunities and informative displays about each species. One of the highlights of any visit is the daily flying displays, held at 1pm year-round and at 3:30pm from March to October (weather permitting). These displays allow guests to witness free-flying birds in action without barriers, creating excellent opportunities for photography and a more immersive experience.

For families, a children’s activity trail is included with admission (subject to availability), adding an extra layer of engagement for younger visitors. The welcoming and knowledgeable team are always on hand to share their passion and provide insight into the birds and their behaviours.

The visitor centre is fully accessible for wheelchair users and pushchairs, making it suitable for visitors with limited mobility. The site is compact and easy to navigate, allowing for a relaxed visit without long distances.

Parking is shared with Hagley Garden Centre, with dedicated disabled parking available. The car park is located approximately 130 metres from the entrance, so visitors may wish to allow for a short walk or plan assistance if required.

Dogs and pets are not permitted within the visitor centre, although assistance dogs may be allowed in line with the centre’s policy.

After exploring the aviaries, visitors can enjoy refreshments at the garden centre café, offering coffee, light lunches, and afternoon tea in a comfortable setting.

With its accessible layout, engaging flying displays, and welcoming atmosphere, The Falconry Centre is a great option for a mobility friendly day out in Worcestershire, particularly for bird enthusiasts and families alike.
