Accessibility Information
The aquarium does not have a car park however there are 4 car parks within a 5 minute walk ( 300 Metres Approximately )
The closest car parks are:
Jetty South – There are 2 Disabled parking spaces and 34 General Spaces
Jetty North – There are 3 Disabled parking spaces and 48 General Spaces
Marine Centre South – There are 3 Disabled parking spaces and 100 General Spaces
St Nicholas – There are 23 Disabled parking spaces and 497 General Spaces

At the Aquarium, there is disabled access throughout the centre.
Please note in the penguin enclosure, there is an additional viewing platform that is not wheelchair accessible due to the stairwells. These enclosures are still viewable at ground level.
All-weather fun: As the Aquarium is indoors your visit will not be affected by the weather. However, please be aware that in peak season the queue may extend as far as the outside, where we can not guarantee the weather!
There are toilets and baby changing facilities within the centre. They also have a fully accessible changing spaces toilet.
A different rate for disabled guests is not offered. However, if a member of your party has a disability, they will be entitled to admit one free carer with them. Please book the carer’s ticket along with your other tickets, there will be an option to add this ticket type to the basket.
Please show one of the following items to a member of the Front of House Team on arrival in order to enter with your pre-booked carer ticket:
- A certified NHS letter from your doctor or consultant (dated within the last 2 years).
- A letter or statement from a professional body (e.g. a Nurse or a BUPA Healthcare Advisor).
- A Blue Badge along with an additional form of photographic ID.
- A DLA letter.
When booking in advance, please book the carer’s ticket along with your other tickets.
