Attraction Information
SeaCity Museum is a museum located in Southampton, a city on the south coast of England. The museum is dedicated to exploring the city’s maritime history and its connections to the Titanic and the wider story of the people who emigrated from the city in the early 20th century.
The museum is housed in a modern, purpose-built building and features a range of interactive exhibits and artifacts that bring the city’s history to life. Visitors can explore galleries that cover various aspects of the city’s history, including its role as a trading port, its involvement in the Titanic disaster, and its connections to the transatlantic slave trade.
Some of the highlights of the museum include a replica of the Titanic’s deck, where visitors can experience what it was like to stand on the ship’s bow, as well as a moving memorial to the crew and passengers who lost their lives when the Titanic sank. The museum also features a range of personal stories and artifacts from people who emigrated from Southampton to America, providing a fascinating glimpse into the experiences of immigrants in the early 20th century.
