Get ready for a day full of family fun at Barry Island Pleasure Park, located right by the beautiful Whitmore Bay beach. With 7 thrilling new rides including old favourites such as the dodgems and waltzers, plus an additional 6 rides designed just for the little ones, there’s something for everyone. Experience the magic of the teacup ride, the excitement of the mini coaster, and the wonder of the fun house and mirror maze. And for the more adventurous, try the paratrooper, swinging chairs, and blow up slide.

The vintage rides are well-maintained and the park has a family-friendly atmosphere. Non-electronic attractions such as the mirror maze and gentle pony rides provide a charming escape from the more thrilling rides. From intriguing stall games to tempting snack vendors, there’s no shortage of entertainment options. Bonus activities like the Water Walker Balls and mini arcade are sure to delight. There is no dedicated disabled parking.

There is level access throughout the site

The ice rink does cater for wheelchair users, providing they are accompanied by a companion. The promoter is not able to provide additional staffing, for dedicated support, at the rink.

 

This attraction does not have its own toilets.

The nearest toilets are the public toilets located at both the eastern parade next to the beach huts and behind the western shelter by Marco’s Café.

These toilets require a RADAR key and feature:

  • Transfer space to the side of the toilet
  • Handrails to the side of the toilet and wash basin
  • wash basin with lever style tap
  • Disposal Facilities.

Companion’s tickets (carer’s tickets) are available and may be booked online – entitlement to the ticket must be proved at the ticket check point, prior to the session start time, if applicable. 

To be eligible for a companions ticket you must provide evidence in one of the following forms:

  • PIP/DLA Paperwork
  • Dr’s Letter stating your disability
  • Nimbus Access Card
