Blackpool Pleasure Beach is a historic amusement park located in the coastal town of Blackpool, England. Known for its collection of thrilling rides and roller coasters, it is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the UK.

 

The park boasts over 40 rides and attractions, ranging from adrenaline-pumping coasters like the iconic Big One, to family-friendly rides like the Nickelodeon Land. In addition to the rides, there are plenty of other attractions to enjoy, such as arcades, shows, and restaurants. The park is also home to the UK’s only Nickelodeon Land, a dedicated area for younger visitors featuring characters from popular children’s TV shows. With something for everyone, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a day of fun and excitement.

The access to the main entrance is level

On the majority of rides, guests using a wheelchair must transfer from the wheelchair to the ride vehicle. However, many of the rides provide access for guests in wheelchairs to the ride platform.

Please note that, for the health and safety of the guests and of the staff, operators are not permitted to physically transfer guests into and out of a ride carriage.

 

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has 6 Accessible toilets located in the following areas

Some of these locations require a RADAR Key should you not have one speak to a member of staff who will be able to assist.

  • Dropdown rail to the side of the toilet
  • Fixed handrails to the side of the wash basin
  • Transfer space to the side of the toilet
  • Emergency Pull cord
  • Lowered wash basing with lever-style tap

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has 1 Accessible Changing Place located in the following area

  • Behind the Sponge Bob ride

This location requires a key and can be obtained from a member of staff.

The location features the following:

  • Wall-mounted Fixed height Changing bed
  • Accessible toilet with handrails to the side and transfer space
  • Wash basin with lever-style taps.
  • Disposal Facilities
  • Emergency Alarm
  • A call button on the outside to alert a member of staff that you need the facility opening.
  • If required, the member of staff will assist in positioning the changing bench.
     
     

Assistance animals and guide dogs are permitted to enter the Park.

However, due to the unique environment, the following requirements apply:

  • Owners must be in control of their animals at all times.
  • The animal must remain on a non-extendable lead whilst inside the Park.
  • The animal cannot be left unattended at any time.
  • Animals are not permitted to enter a ride carriage.
  • Whilst they do not have a designated area for animals to expel waste, they require all animal owners to dispose of any waste immediately.

They reserve the right to request proof of training and to refuse access to untrained animals due to the health and safety risks they pose to both guests and staff. 

Blackpool Pleasure Beach offers Free Essential Companion Entry to those accompanying a disabled guest.

To redeem Free Essential Companion Entry you must provide one of the following Evidence:

  • Nimbus Access Card with the +1 or +2 Symbol.
  • The essential companion must be over the age of 14.

Nimbus Access card must be applied for 7 days or more prior to your visit.

  • Applications are free of charge for those guests who only wish to register their needs for ONE visit to Blackpool Pleasure Beach.  However, if eligible for an Access Card, you will also have the option to upgrade a Nimbus ID to a full Access Card at a cost of £15. Access Cards are valid for 3 years and can be used at thousands of locations across the UK and beyond, including other Amusement Parks who offer similar forms of assistance.

The EasyPass service allows the guest who is unable to queue, plus one other guest to access the rides via the EasyPass entrance.

A maximum of 2 additional guests can be added to the EasyPass at a charge of £5 per person, payable on the day at Guest Services.

guests are placed in a virtual queue allowing them to wait comfortably before accessing the ride via the EasyPass entrance at their allocated time.

The EasyPass service does not allow immediate and unrestricted access to rides and is not a ‘queue jump’ service.

Please be aware, the following rides are not available on the EasyPass service;

  • Avalanche
  • Ghost Train
  • Krusty Krab Order Up
