Experience a day of adventure and discovery at Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens. With a wide range of animals to explore, from creepy crawlies to stunning giraffes, and exciting adventure playgrounds, there’s something for every member of the family to enjoy.

As you wander through the park, you’ll come across a variety of quirky animal houses that house over 130 exotic bird species, including emus, owls, pelicans, vultures, ostriches, and more. Don’t forget to stop by the lake to catch a glimpse of the flamboyant flamingos and pelicans.

For those who love the big cats, don’t miss the chance to see the sleepy Asiatic Lions lounging in their enclosure. And if you’re feeling brave, venture into the Reptile House for an up-close encounter with giant anacondas, crocodiles, and deadly snakes.

But that’s not all – Cotswold Wildlife Park also features a tropical house where you can immerse yourself in a world of exotic plants and animals. And for the little ones, there are excellent adventure playgrounds where they can run, jump, and play to their hearts’ content.

This attraction has its own car park

This car park has a dedicated disabled parking area near the main entrance.

The distance from the furthest disabled parking space to the entrance is roughly 90 metres.

The car park is concrete laid.

There is level access between the car park and the main entrance.

The pathways around the park are mainly concrete some areas are laid with grass and some assistance may be required for those in a wheelchair.

There is plenty of seating around the park to rest.

Wheelchairs are allowed on the train.

There are ramps to access the Giraffe house, Wolverine enclosure and Wolves.

This attraction has both Disabled Toilets and a Changing Place toilet

This attraction has 4 Disabled Toilets located in the following areas:

  • By the Leopards,
  • In the Restaurant
  • By the Reptile Courtyard
  • By the Gift Shop

These toilets feature the following:

  • Wash basin with lever style tap
  • Handrails to the side of the toilet and wash basin
  • Disposal facilities
  • Transfer space to the side of the toilet.

This attraction has a changing place located near the gift shop to access this facility you must retrieve a code from a member of staff within the gift shop.

This facility feature the following:

  • A free standing, height adjustable, moveable, adult sized changing bed. This can be used in conjunction with the shower.
  • Ceiling hoist, sling and track.
  •  Shower (hoist reaches shower).
  • Washbasin
  • peninsular toilet.

There are a limited number of wheelchairs available to hire from the Gift Shop. Please note:

  • Wheelchairs can only be booked up to 4 days in advance of your visit.
  • If you require a wheelchair, please call the Gift Shop before booking your e-tickets to confirm whether there is availability. The wheelchairs and mobility scooters get booked up quickly during holiday periods.
  • A maximum of two wheelchairs can be hired per person/group, and they are unable to provide wheelchairs for large groups.
  • A deposit of £20.00 is required, payable by credit card or cash. They will only process the deposit payment should the wheelchair not be returned or is damaged in any way.
  • You may receive a phone call from the Gift Shop on the day of your visit to confirm that you still require your booking.

Wheelchairs are available for collection from the Gift Shop from 10:00am until 3.30 pm in summer and until 2.30 pm in winter. They must be returned to the Gift Shop at the car park by 4.30 pm in summer and 3.30 pm in winter, in order to retrieve your deposit.

There are a limited number of electric mobility scooters for hire at the Park. Please note:

  • Mobility scooters can only be booked up to 4 days in advance of your visit.
  • If you require a mobility scooter, please call the Gift Shop before booking your e-tickets to confirm whether there is availability. The wheelchairs and mobility scooters get booked up quickly during holiday periods.
  • A maximum of two mobility scooters can be hired per person/group, and they are unable to provide mobility scooters for large groups.
  • There is a £10.00 charge to hire a mobility scooter for up to 2 hours, or a £20.00 charge to hire a mobility scooter for the day. An additional £50.00 deposit is required, payable by credit card or cash. They will only process the deposit should the scooter not be returned or is damaged in any way.
  • You may receive a phone call from the  Gift Shop on the day of your visit to confirm that you still require your booking.

Mobility scooters are available for collection from the Gift Shop from 10.00 am until 3.30 pm in summer and until 2.30 pm in winter. They must be returned to the Gift Shop at the car park by 4.30pm in summer and 3.30pm in winter, in order to retrieve your deposit.

There is wheelchair access to and from the train (step free) and room for 2 wheelchairs on the train.

For those that can walk a short distance there is a wheelchair/pushchair park next to the platform and benches on the platform to wait for the train.

The Narrow-Gauge Railway runs during April to October from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm (weather permitting) and takes you all around the Park.

Train fare: Adults £2, Child £1 (under 3’s free of charge).

This attraction offers discounted group pricing for disabled visitors and their carers.

These rates apply to groups of disabled and carers, consisting of six or more disabled and carers

Registered blind visitors are admitted free of charge.
