This week, we had a fantastic time exploring the World of Country Life. During our visit, I couldn’t help but notice how accessible the park was – with almost 90% of the paths being concrete, it would be easy to navigate with a wheelchair, there were some slight inclines but nothing challenging. We were pleased to find two disabled toilets located conveniently throughout the park, so we were never far from one. All of the shows were easily viewable, and even with the busy crowds, my daughter, who has ASD, coped incredibly well. The only challenge she faced was at the ferret race, where the cheers from the crowd in the metal barn became quite loud. However, the rest of the attractions were enjoyable, including the deer train which travels at a slow pace, allowing for time to feed the deer. Although there is a slight step up into the carriage, the attraction is listed on the Max card website, where one carer goes free with a paying disabled guest on proof of a Max card. Although the staff seemed unfamiliar with this offer and requested PIP or DLA paperwork instead, they have raised this with management to clarify. Overall, it was a pleasant day, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a day out with a historic and farming theme.
