Kenwood House is a historic home located in Hampstead Heath, London, England. Built in the 18th century, the house is now managed by English Heritage and open to the public.
For disabled visitors, Kenwood House offers designated parking spaces located close to the entrance, and ramps provide access to the ground floor. A lift is available to take visitors to the upper levels of the house, making it accessible to all visitors.
Audio guides are also available, providing audio descriptions of the various rooms and features of the house and gardens for those with hearing impairments or difficulty reading information panels.
The gardens at Kenwood House are a beautiful feature of the property and accessible to all visitors, with level pathways and accessible restrooms available throughout. There are also designated picnic areas available for visitors who wish to bring their own food.
The house has a cafe serving a range of hot and cold meals, snacks, and drinks, with accessible seating and service areas. There is also a gift shop, selling a range of souvenirs, books, and gifts for visitors to take home.

This attraction has dedicated disabled parking, there are 5 dedicated bays.
The car park is 300 metres from the main house.
There is a dedicated drop off point to the front of the house.
Head to the East Lodge entrance of Hampstead Lane and press the intercom buzzer to speak to a staff member. The vehicle will be escorted to the requested drop off point
There is currently a mobility service running from the car park to the house and back again on Thursday and Saturday between 11:00 and 15:00.
The pathways around the park are a mix of concrete & gravel.
Hoggin paths that extends away from the house may be uncomfortable to walk on and may be difficult for wheelchair visitors given dips and gradients.
There is a lift from the ground floor to the first floor.
A braille map of the house is available in the Entrance Hall.
Highlight Tours are on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 11.30am and 2.30pm. Enjoy a 1-hour tour led by an expert volunteer to draw on some of the highlights of the collection and give a brief overview of Kenwood House
Those who are blind or have visual impairments can join these tours free of charge.
Induction loops are available in all of the shops.
This attraction has 1 accessible toilets located in the Service Wing next to the Brew House Café.
This toilet features the following:
- Handrails to the side of the toilet and wash basin.
- Wash basin with lever style tap
- Transfer space to the side of the toilet
- Disposal Facilities
Assistance Dogs are permitted within the house, shops, and cafés.
Please have a Harness, lead or vest with your assistance dogs designation labeled on it.
You must clear up from your dog should it foul within the attraction.
Dog water bowls are available outside the cafés.
