Camperdown Wildlife Centre in Dundee is a popular family attraction set within the larger Camperdown Country Park. The centre is home to more than 50 species of animals, birds and reptiles, offering visitors the chance to learn about wildlife and conservation in an engaging environment. Visitors can see a range of fascinating animals including European brown bears, wolves, ring tailed lemurs, snowy owls and colourful hyacinth macaws. The centre also houses vulnerable species such as lion tailed macaques and Lar gibbons, giving visitors the opportunity to discover animals that are rarely seen in the wild. Regular keeper talks and feeding sessions throughout the day provide insight into the animals and the conservation work carried out by the centre. Families can also enjoy seasonal events, educational activities and picnic areas within the surrounding parkland.

The attraction offers several features that support a mobility friendly visit. Camperdown Wildlife Centre has its own car park located approximately 100 metres from the entrance, although there are currently no dedicated disabled parking spaces. Once inside the centre, the pathways are concrete laid and generally easy to navigate. The terrain across the site is mostly flat, although there are a few gentle inclines where some visitors using wheelchairs or mobility aids may require assistance. Raised viewing platforms are accessible via ramps, allowing visitors to observe animals from different vantage points.

While the wildlife centre itself does not have an accessible toilet, a public accessible toilet and Changing Places facility is available approximately 200 metres from the attraction. This facility includes an adult sized height adjustable changing bench, ceiling hoist, peninsular toilet, non slip flooring, emergency alarm and privacy screen, providing additional support for visitors who require accessible changing facilities.

Additional visitor services such as wheelchair hire, assistance dog boarding options and picnic areas help make the centre welcoming for a wide range of visitors. With its accessible pathways, animal encounters and educational experiences, Camperdown Wildlife Centre offers an enjoyable wildlife day out for families visiting Dundee and the surrounding area.
