Spinnaker Tower is Portsmouth’s iconic waterfront landmark, rising 170 metres above Portsmouth Harbour and offering some of the most spectacular views on the South Coast. Located at Gunwharf Quays, the tower features three viewing decks, each delivering a different experience. The main View Deck includes the famous glass Sky Walk, where visitors can look directly down to the harbour below, while the higher indoor deck offers relaxed seating and panoramic views stretching up to 23 miles on a clear day. At the top, the open air Sky Garden provides a refreshing perspective across the Solent and towards the Isle of Wight. As daylight fades, the coastline transforms into a glittering display of lights, making it a memorable attraction both day and night.
Accessibility is well integrated throughout the attraction to create a mobility friendly experience. The main entrance has level access, and an internal lift serves the viewing decks, café and key visitor areas. Level access is provided to the admissions desk, gift shop, photo desk, main viewing decks, Spinnaker Kitchen and Bar, and the terrace. A designated viewing area is available for wheelchair users to ensure clear sightlines across the harbour. There are three accessible toilets on site, and a complimentary ticket policy is available for personal assistants accompanying a disabled guest. Hearing loops are fitted at reception and the admissions desk, the fire alarm includes flashing lights, and glass doors have clear contrast markings. Staff receive disability awareness training, with some team members trained in British Sign Language. An Evac+Chair and trained staff are available to support visitors if required.
With breathtaking 350 degree views, modern facilities and inclusive access throughout, Spinnaker Tower offers an exciting and accessible experience above Portsmouth’s historic waterfront.
