Looking for an aquatic adventure that the whole family will love? Look no further than Sealife Adventure! With over 40 displays featuring sea life from all around the world, this premier aquatic attraction in the South East promises an unforgettable experience.

Step into Ray Bay and marvel at the friendly expressions of the majestic rays as they glide through the tank, or learn from the experts about the importance of shark conservation and the risks they face from overfishing. Meet up to five different species of poisonous frogs in the Crocs and Frogs section, or explore the depths of the ocean in the HMs sub-tropical room.

Turtle Bay is a must-see for all ages, featuring a variety of turtles and seahorses, many of which have been rescued. Be sure to ask the knowledgeable staff if there are any baby turtles to see! In the Clownfish tank, search for the beloved characters of Marlin and Nemo, and don’t forget to check out the super slimy and scaly inhabitants of The Scale Trail and Crawl Wall. With exhibitions and talks for all ages, Sealife Adventure is the perfect destination for any aspiring marine biologist or lover of all things aquatic.

The main entrance has level access and no turnstiles

Three Shells restaurant is fully wheelchair accessible

There is a step leading to all exits onto the main parade, but a flat access is located at the main entrance

Displays are fully accessible for wheelchair users and for those with walking disabilities, however parts of the attraction do have slopes or changes in flooring texture.

The disabled toilet is located in the yellow beach hut in the main foyer

This toilet features:

  • A lowered wash basin
  • Handrails to the side of the toilet and wash basin
  • Emergency pull cord
  • Disposal facilities

The closest changing place toilet is the Fairheads Green Car Park Toilets –

This Changing place is roughly 250M from the venue a 5 minute walk

To gain access to the changing place toilets within Southend On Sea  you must complete an application form prior to your visit – Application Form

Assistance Dogs are permitted at Sea Life Adventure however guidelines must be adhered to these are :

  • All dogs must be registered assistance dogs.
  • All dogs must be highly trained and proof of this in the form of an I.D. book may be required.
  • Dogs must not wander freely around the site and must sit quietly on the floor next to their owner.
  • Dogs must wear a recognizable harness and identifying coat.

Sealife Adventure’s current policy on ticket and wristband sales for disabilities entitles the carer to a wristband for half price. Please note that carers must be over the age of 18 to be responsible for anyone they wish to accompany, assist, and care for.

The cashiers MUST see proof that a guest requires a carer for a carer wristband to be issued. This can be in the form of a DLA letter, DWP, Carer’s Allowance, Carer’s ID or a PIP letter. They will NOT accept the blue disability badge as a form of ID. If you have a form of ID to show that is not on this list, please contact them before your visit to approve this. please call Customer Services on 01702 442200

Carers may not enter the Zooquarium alone with a carer wristband.
