Accessibility Information

The Aquarium itself does not have parking however there is a public car park roughly 100M from the entrance

There are 20 Disabled Spaces and 874 General Spaces

There is a slope at the front of the aquarium for wheelchair access.

The entrance door is wide allowing for easy access however it is quite tight by the payment counter.

Halfway round seats can be found giving a place to rest.

Some of the signs are quite high up and due to the dim lighting, they were not all easy to read.

The staff are on hand to help read these signs.

The aquarium has a lift up to the café although you may struggle to get a mobility scooter in it.

There is an accessible toilet however, if you are using a mobility scooter you may struggle to manoeuvre in it.

The Accessible toilet features:

  • handrails to the side of the toilet and wash basin
  • lowered wash basin with a lever tap
  • Disposal facilities
  • Emergency Pull Cord

The closest changing place is Briar Way Public Convenience

This changing place is roughly 500M from the aquarium a 10 minute walk.

Single Admission, please purchase 2 tickets to attend as a carer of a disabled adult.

Please bring proof of registered disabled and carer. E.g. photo of Blue Badge, DWP letter or equivalent.
