The recently unveiled Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum offers a fantastic outing for sports-loving families, seamlessly blending modern interactive touch screens with an exceptional assortment of tennis memorabilia. Enthusiasts can explore the sport’s origins and the history of the Wimbledon Championships in an engaging manner. Step into a recreation of the 1980s Gentlemen’s Dressing Room, where John McEnroe’s presence brings alive tales of Wimbledon’s drama. Experience the sensation of playing on Centre Court in an immersive 200-degree 3D cinema, complete with a captivating film on the Science of Tennis. Exclusive TV interviews with tennis legends enhance the experience. The Wimbledon Tour, led by a professional Blue Badge guide, offers behind-the-scenes insights. Kids can enjoy activities in the Reaction Zone and interact with the museum’s archives via touch screens. Museum ticket holders can also enjoy a brief visit to Centre Court, departing every 30 minutes from the Museum Shop after 15:30.

  • The entrance to the Museum via Gate 4 has step-free access.
  • Carers are admitted free of charge, but still require a ticket.
  • The Museum and Museum Shop has step-free access. The Tour has a step-free route available; please contact us for further details. 
  • Seating is provided at various points around the Museum, and the displays are positioned for use by wheelchair users.
  • The virtual reality cinema has dedicated spaces for wheelchairs.
  • Accessible toilets are provided in the Museum Shop.
  • An induction loop is located at the Ticket Desk and in the Wingfield Cafe.
  • Portable T loops for the audio guides are available from the Ticket Desk.
  • We operate BSL tours at scheduled dates throughout the year
  • Certified Assistance Dogs that are trained by members of Assistance Dogs (UK) are welcome in our Museum and on the Wimbledon Tour. The Orchard, at the top of The Hill and The Pergola have dedicated spending areas to use during your visit

Opening Hours

Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum, Shop and Wingfield Café are open daily, 10:00 – 17:30.

The last entry to the Museum is at 16:45.
