Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens is a magnificent historic site located in Northumberland, England. The site includes a medieval castle, a magnificent 19th-century mansion, and beautiful gardens.
For disabled visitors, Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens offers designated parking spaces located close to the entrance, with level access to the grounds and accessible restrooms. The gardens are accessible with level pathways throughout, and the hall and castle offer some accessible areas, although some areas may have limited access due to the historic nature of the buildings.
Audio guides and large print guides are available, providing audio descriptions and detailed information about the various rooms, features, and history of the site. Visitors can explore the castle, including the keep and the medieval great hall, and learn about the history of the site and the people who lived there.
The gardens offer a peaceful escape with a quarry garden, a formal garden, and a woodland garden to explore. There is also a cafe on site serving a range of hot and cold meals, snacks, and drinks, with accessible seating and service areas.

The car park is gravel laid.
The Castle and manor house can be reached by 700m path through gardens.
Access to the ground floor of the castle and the manor house are via a ramp.
Paths are gravelled through the grounds.
No steep gradients.
A very gentle slope on the west quarry path.

Wheelchairs are available to borrow free of charge.
RADAR key access is available for the level access route to the hall (via tearoom entrance) and gardens (via toilet gate) you can hire on from te shop for a refundable charge or purchase your own here – RADAR KEY
There are hand-held devices for the audio-described tour at the admissions desk. Headsets are provided but you can use your own.

You must clear up from your dog should it foul within the attraction.
There is a dog bowl at the entrance to the site and at the castle.
There are three dog bins on the site: in the car park; castle and on the quarry garden path.
