Businesses, Venues, and Organisations Listing Policy

This policy outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and standards for businesses, venues, and organisations listing attractions on Disability Days. By submitting a listing, you agree to comply with the conditions below.

    1. Purpose of This Policy

Disability Days exists to help visitors find accessible attractions, venues, and days out. To maintain accuracy and trust, all listing partners must provide honest, verified, and detailed information regarding accessibility features.

    This policy applies to all:

    • Attraction owners and operators
    • Venues, activity providers, and event organisers
    • Agencies or organisations representing attractions

    2. Eligibility for Listing

To list an attraction, you must:

    • Have legal authority to advertise or represent the venue or attraction
    • Ensure all information provided is accurate and up to date
    • Comply with relevant safety, accessibility, and advertising regulations

We may request verification or supporting documentation where required.

    3. Accuracy of Accessibility Information

All accessibility claims must be factual, evidence based, and not exaggerated. Listing partners agree to:

    • Clearly describe which accessibility and mobility friendly features exist and which do not
    • Avoid using terms such as accessible unless supported by clear detail
    • Accurately represent access routes, toilets, parking, seating, signage, and facilities
    • Update listings promptly if accessibility features change or become unavailable

Misrepresentation may result in suspension or removal of listings.

    4. Listing Content Requirements

    Listings should include:

    • A clear description of the attraction or venue
    • Accessibility details written in practical, easy-to-understand language
    • Photographs that accurately represent the location and facilities
    • Any limitations visitors should be aware of (for example, uneven terrain, steps, or restricted access areas)

You must not upload or share:

    • False or misleading information
    • Images that do not belong to you or infringe copyright
    • Content containing offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language

We reserve the right to edit or remove content where necessary to protect users.

    5. Pricing, Opening Times & Visitor Information

    Listing partners are responsible for:

    • Providing accurate pricing, ticketing details, and concessions where applicable
    • Keeping opening hours and seasonal availability up to date
    • Clearly communicating booking requirements or restrictions

Disability Days is a discovery platform and does not process ticket sales or bookings unless otherwise stated.

    6. Responsibility to Visitors

By listing an attraction, you agree to:

    • Respond to enquiries within a reasonable timeframe where contact details are provided
    • Inform visitors of any changes that may affect accessibility
    • Ensure the venue meets health, safety, and legal standards
    • Take responsibility for visitor experience, complaints, or incidents

Disability Days is not responsible for disputes between visitors and venues.

    7. Reviews & Ratings

Visitors may leave reviews based on their experience. We will not remove reviews unless they:

    • Contain hate speech, harassment, or abuse
    • Include defamatory, illegal, or sensitive personal information
    • Are proven to be fraudulent or unrelated to the listing

Listing partners may request factual corrections but cannot request removal of genuine opinions.

    8. Listing Fees, Subscriptions & Removal

If a listing package includes costs, you agree to pay subscription or advertising fees in line with our pricing structure. Non-payment may result in:

    • Temporary suspension
    • Removal of listings
    • Loss of promotional placement

Listing partners may request removal of their listing at any time. Refunds are not guaranteed unless stated in the package terms.

    9. Policy Violations

We reserve the right to suspend, amend, or permanently remove any listing that:

    • Contains misleading accessibility information
    • Receives repeated and verified accessibility complaints
    • Shows evidence of unsafe practices or fraudulent behaviour

Such action may occur without refund where a breach of this policy is confirmed.

    10. Legal Disclaimer & Liability

Disability Days provides a platform for discovering attractions and accessibility information. While we aim to ensure listings are accurate and up to date, we do not independently verify all information provided by listing partners.

By using this platform, you acknowledge that:

    • Accessibility information is provided by third parties and may change without notice
    • Individual needs vary, and suitability of an attraction should be confirmed directly with the venue before visiting
    • Disability Days is not liable for inaccuracies, omissions, or changes to listed information

    We are not responsible for:

    • Any loss, injury, or inconvenience experienced during a visit
    • The availability, condition, or safety of any attraction
    • Any disputes between visitors and listed venues

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

    11. Equality & Accessibility Commitment

Listing partners are expected to act in accordance with applicable accessibility legislation, including the Equality Act 2010 where relevant.

Disability Days promotes inclusive access and encourages venues to make reasonable adjustments to improve accessibility for all visitors.
