Experience the wonders of the deep with a trip to Macduff Marine Aquarium, where you’ll be transported into the enchanting world of the Moray Firth’s marine life. Marvel at an array of captivating sea creatures, from those that inhabit the rocky shores to the inhabitants of the kelp reef.
Don’t miss the aquarium’s crowning jewel – a unique kelp reef exhibit where you can watch professional divers feeding the fish every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Kids will love getting up-close with hardy seashore creatures in the new touch pools.
To make your visit even more fun, join in the seasonal trails and pick up a fish finder leaflet at reception. The little ones will love spotting all the different animals, and with new interpretation boards and a shark hatchery, there’s no shortage of exciting activities to enjoy at Macduff Marine Aquarium.

This car park has 4 Disabled spaces and 38 General Spaces
The distance from the furthest Disabled space to the entrance is 30 meters
The aquarium is all on one level and so it accessible throughout the building, with the exception of two viewing platforms into the main Kelp Reef exhibit- however there is a floor to ceiling viewing area into this tank that is completely accessible.
There is a push pad operated door for entry, with disabled parking right by the entrance.
There is a wheelchair available upon request
There is an audio tour available on our website that can be streamed via the free Wi-Fi.
There are picnic benches outside but no cafe at the aquarium.

This toilet features the following:

- Transfer space to the left of the toilet

Adults with special needs are entitled to one free accompanying carer admission.
Carer entry is provided on a 1:1 basis and evidence will need to be provided in one of the following forms:
- DLA/PIP PaperworkÂ
- Blue Badge
- Dr’s/Medical Professionals letter dated in the last 12 months
Assistance Dogs are permitted within the aquarium, there is a grass area to the rear of the aquarium.
